POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for performing preventive maintenance and other scheduled services. Performs repairs and other technical activities with minimum supervision. Requires good oral and written communication and customer service skills. Maintains equipment inventory records and parts records.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Completes assigned preventive maintenance and other scheduled services.
- Maintains equipment inventory to include tagging, recording, reporting of equipment additions/deletions, and documenting service events; performs initial inspections and identifies and reports pre-existing conditions to supervisor.
- Performs diagnostic repairs of equipment and systems; reports higher level repair needs and requirements to the supervisor.
- Communicates with customer regarding equipment status and proper operation of equipment.
- Provides in-service training, presentations, and orientations for equipment.
- Solves practical problems and deals with situations where only limited standardization exists; interprets a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schematic form.
- Works with and assists other technical staff to insure consistency in operations.
- Supports other regions/areas as appropriate.
- Responsible for customer satisfaction and problem resolution; identifies areas for process improvement.
- Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
Degree in Electronics or Equivalent Program.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of three years mechanical electrical experience, preferably in a healthcare environment.
CERTIFICATE/LICENSURE:
AAMI certification recommended.
